A branded elevator customer portal: your building owners see their elevators, service history, tickets and invoices under your name
A building owner’s questions about their elevators are always the same: is it running, when was it last serviced, when is the inspection due, what do I owe. Today those questions are phone calls to your office. The Smarterlift customer portal answers them at your own subdomain, under your logo, from the same records your technicians and your invoicing already keep, so the owner self-serves and your office gets the afternoon back.

What you get
- •A portal at yourcompany.smarterlift.app with your logo and primary colour on the sign-in page and every page after it, where each customer sees only their own buildings.
- •Elevator status, a compliance health score, the full service history of every unit, service requests that become tickets in your queue, documents, and every invoice with its status.
- •Ask Smarterlift, an AI assistant grounded in the customer’s own records, which files a service request or passes a message to your office only after the customer has confirmed it.
How it works
- 1
Brand it once
Set your logo and primary colour in your company profile. Your customers sign in at your own subdomain, and the sign-in page and every page of the portal carry your name and colour.
- 2
Invite the building
Every customer in your CRM can have a portal. Add their elevators, invite the people at the building who should see them, and each one signs in with their own email. They see that customer’s elevators, tickets, documents and invoices and nothing else; your office users go on seeing everything.
- 3
Let the owner self-serve
The dashboard shows what the owner would otherwise call about: which elevators are running, how many requests are open, when the next service is scheduled, and a compliance health score for the fleet and for each unit, set against the statewide certificate expiration rate from the state registry. A twelve-month outlook plots their upcoming inspections over the months when the rest of the state comes due. Any elevator opens to its full service history, which exports to PDF for an audit or a sale.
- 4
Requests and invoices come to you
A service request filed in the portal, with its priority, arrives in your work order queue as a ticket, and the customer watches its status from the dashboard. Every invoice you issue appears under Billing with its line items, status and due date; once you connect your Stripe account, customers pay by card on Stripe’s hosted page, and the invoice email carries the same secure link for customers who never sign in.
- 5
Ask Smarterlift answers the rest
The AI assistant answers questions from the customer’s own records: what the last visit to Car 2 covered, what an invoice was for, when the inspection is due. When a question needs your office, it drafts the service request or the message, shows the customer exactly what it will send, and files it only when they say yes. What it files lands in your queue like any other ticket.

Why a portal, and why this one
Self-service is worth having for its own sake, but a portal is also the most durable form of retention there is. An owner who checks their compliance score, their service history and their invoices in your portal is an owner whose records live with you. When the incumbent’s certificate lapses somewhere else in town, that is a lead for you; when yours are current and visible to the owner every morning, it is not a lead for anyone.
The portal is not a separate product bolted on. The compliance score uses the same state registry data as the free compliance lookup and the Building Registry your sales team prospects from. The service history is the same work orders your technicians close. The invoices are the ones your office issues. One system, seen from the customer’s side.

Questions people ask
- What does a building owner see in the portal?
- Only their own buildings. The dashboard shows their elevators and each one’s status, open service requests, the next scheduled service and a compliance health score for the fleet and for each unit, compared with the statewide certificate expiration rate from the state registry. From there they open the service history of any elevator, file a service request, read and download documents, and see every invoice with its status and due date.
- Is it really under our brand?
- Yes. Each customer signs in at your own subdomain, yourcompany.smarterlift.app, and your logo and primary colour appear on the sign-in page and on every page of the portal. Set both once in your company profile.
- What can the AI assistant do?
- Ask Smarterlift answers questions from the customer’s own records: which elevator was serviced last, what an invoice covered, when the next inspection is due. It can also file a service request or pass a message to your office, and it never does either until the customer has read the exact request and confirmed it. Anything it files lands in your work order queue like any other ticket.
- Can customers pay invoices in the portal?
- Customers see every invoice, its line items, its status and its due date, and can download it. Online card payment is available once you connect your Stripe account in Settings; payment is then handled on Stripe’s hosted page and the portal never sees card details. Smarterlift also emails invoices with a secure payment link, so customers who never sign in can still pay online.
- How does a customer get access?
- You create the customer in the CRM, add their elevators, and invite the people at the building who should see them. Each person signs in with their own email and sees only that customer’s buildings, elevators, tickets, documents and invoices. Your office users see every customer, as they do today.
- What does the portal cost?
- The customer portal is the Platform plan, $699 per month, or $599 per month billed annually, with a seven-day free trial. Platform includes everything in Outbound, unlimited office users, ten technician accounts and ten customer portals; further portals are $59 per month per block of twenty-five, and further technicians $25 per month each.
