AI for elevator service companies: it does the reading and the writing, and your people make the calls

An elevator service office spends its day reading records and writing about them: which certificate lapses next, what the last visit to Car 2 found, what to tell the owner, which job to give to whom. The AI in Smarterlift does that reading and writing, and Ask Smarterlift, the agent, does the office work you ask of it, step by step, as you confirm. Your people make the calls.

Ask Smarterlift: questions answered with the records attached, and work planned in steps that you watch run and confirm, with every change logged and one press from Undo.

2

AI through the day: leads scored with reasons, proposals drafted, technicians briefed, visit summaries written, slips and data plates read from a photo.

In every plan, never an add on, with the owner deciding what may run on its own.

Ask Smarterlift, the agent

Ask Smarterlift answers questions about any customer, job, invoice, lead or part, and hands back the records themselves, each one press from its page. Tell it what needs doing, such as a callback opened and given to a technician, a lead moved to proposal, or what is running low ordered from the reorder plan, and it lays out the whole plan before anything changes. Each step then shows waiting, running, done. You confirm the rest, go step by step, change it or stop it.

It works through the same pages a person does, as that person: a technician’s login can do what a technician can, and nothing more. The owner can let a kind of work run on its own once it has been right about it, and it then tells you what it did; everything else asks first. Every change goes in a log with who asked and who confirmed, and Undo reaches back 30 days wherever the change has an opposite.

What it does for each person

The owner

  • Ask Smarterlift about the business: who owes the most, which contracts renew, which jobs lost money
  • A morning read of the dashboard, written for you
  • Your month in review, written once a month
  • Decide which kinds of work may run on their own, and see every change in one log

The office

  • Jobs opened, assigned and moved in steps you confirm
  • Customers added, contacts changed, notes kept, messages from the service inbox filed
  • Packing slips read into stock from a photo
  • A part named from its photo

Sales

  • Every lead scored 1 to 100, with the reason written out
  • Proposals and intro emails drafted in your voice
  • The owner’s case for a modernization
  • Leads moved and won, contract renewals drafted, orders drafted from the reorder plan, as you confirm

Technicians

  • The unit’s history before the job
  • Notes tidied and the visit summary drafted
  • In the Android app; iPhone coming soon

Building owners

  • A visit summary in plain words
  • Insights on their own elevators
  • Answers in their portal, from their own records

From the first lead to the tenth renewal

  1. FindLeads scored with the reason written out; a building’s public reviews read
  2. WinProposals and intro emails drafted; the owner’s modernization case
  3. RunTechnician briefs, tidied notes and visit summaries; jobs planned and assigned by Ask Smarterlift
  4. Get paidSlips read into stock; the month in review; Ask Smarterlift on what is owed
  5. KeepVisit summaries for owners; insights and answers in their portal

What it never does

  • Email a customer, send an invoice or charge a card
  • Change anything the person asking could not change by hand
  • Run on its own unless the owner switched that kind of work on
  • Delete anything or change who can sign in without asking
  • Take orders from the words in an email or a message

It reads only what the person asking may see, and words from outside the company, in an email to the service inbox or a note from the field, are information to it, never instructions. A plan that started from them always asks.

Questions people ask

Does the AI act on its own?

Only where the owner allows it. Ask Smarterlift shows its plan and asks before each change. The owner can let a kind of work, such as assigning jobs, run on its own and report back, up to 50 changes a company a day. Deleting, changing who can sign in, renewing a contract and recording a delivery always ask. Every change is logged with who asked and who confirmed, with Undo for 30 days, and it never emails a customer, sends an invoice or charges a card.

What can Ask Smarterlift do?

It answers questions about customers, jobs, invoices, leads, contracts and parts with the records attached, and it plans and makes office changes as you confirm them: opening, assigning and moving jobs, adding customers and notes, filing messages from the service inbox, moving and winning leads, drafting contract renewals and parts orders, and asking for a part. A technician's login can ask for a part for their own job and nothing else.

Can it see everything in the account?

No. It reads and changes only what the person asking could read and change on the page, in their own locations, so the office manager's assistant and a technician's see different things. Words from outside the company, in an email or a note, are information to it and never instructions, and a plan that started from them always asks.

Does the AI cost extra?

No. Ask Smarterlift and every AI feature are in every plan, never an add on: Crew at $499 a month for up to 5 technicians, Company at $999 for up to 15, and Regional at $1,699 for several locations, each with a seven day free trial.
