Measured September 6, 2026TDLR publishes each unit’s inspection date, certificate expiration, equipment type and install year. Texas is the one state where the registry also lists the building’s registered compliance contact.
How Texas regulates elevator inspections
- •Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 754 requires an annual safety inspection of every elevator, escalator and related piece of equipment by a registered elevator inspector.
- •The building owner files the inspection report with TDLR within 30 days of the inspection and receives a Certificate of Compliance, which is good for one year.
